Jan 5, 2023 | Family Fun, History, Shopping

Being outdoors, surrounded by spectacular scenery, is a big draw for Pacific County  And, there’s fun to be had indoors, too. Here are some ideas for when you want to have some indoor fun in Pacific County.

Visit a Museum

Pacific County is home to a variety of incredible museums. Head over to the Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond, and get an up-close view of the automobile of yesteryear. Look at a vast collection of vintage kites at the World Kite Museum (and be sure to check out their gift shop). Starting with the Chinookan Culture and moving through time, visitors to the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum get to explore the unfolding of the region’s history. Head to Naselle, and visit the Appelo Archives Center for a glance back into time (and a yummy treat from their Cafe)!

Float Away Your Worries

Although it is not advisable to swim in the ocean on the Long Beach Peninsula, there are plenty of pools and other spa-day fun. Many of our fabulous lodging partners feature pools and spa experiences. Steam away your stress in a sauna at The Sou’wester, or splash away your worries at the spacious Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort pool. Visit our full list of lodging partners here.

Movie Time!

If you are looking for a fun, beach town theater experience, look no further. The Neptune Theatre, a family friendly movie theater, features Disney-themed paintings, couches, and selection of blankets, making the Neptune the coziest movie experience on the coast.

Up for games?

Visit Funland Family Entertainment Center! This arcade features many individual and team games, with a large selection of prizes.

Find Hidden Treasures

Whether it’s books, antiques, or handmade art, we have you covered.
