Looking for a longer hike? This is the one for you! We’ll cover about seven miles as we thoroughly explore all that the South Bay Unit of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge has to offer! From grasslands to estuary, a vernal pool, and several forests, you’re in for a great variety of habitat types with all sorts of wildlife, plants, and great views. Pack a lunch and plenty of water–and maybe some binoculars, too!

We will meet at the parking area at the very east end of 95th Street off of Sandridge Road. Please park along the fenceline on 95th and meet at the informational sign at the end of the road near the gate. We’ll walk in from there. Please note dogs are NOT allowed anywhere on Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.

While the trail is well maintained and is gravel most of the way, there may be rough spots here and there, especially around the Porter Point Loop Trail. Also, there are a few hills, so you may want to bring hiking poles. Participants will be required to sign a liability form before we embark on the tour and agree to a code of conduct that basically boils down to “be nice to each other, and be nice to the land.”

Your ticket covers admission for one person. Gratuities after the tour are optional but appreciated.
