This 193-mile long race begins in Ilwaco, WA and ends in Victoria, BC. Participants travel from the mouth of the mighty Columbia River, up the Washington coast and through the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The race tests sailing, navigation and tactical skills as well as endurance. The Corinthian Yacht Club of Portland and their title sponsor, Schooner Creek Boat Works, holds the race annually. The annual surf perch derby takes place May 9, 2020. Guaranteed cash prizes will be awarded. Winners based on total weight of catch for individuals or 3-person teams.
