Tourism Project Coordinator

What we are looking for:
The Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau (LBPVB) is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our team
and support our destination goals. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a self-starter with strong
organizational and communication skills, an “out-of-the-box” thinker, a discoverer, a people person, and
a team player who is comfortable in a critical support role. Candidate must also enjoy working on a
variety of tourism-related projects in a fast-paced environment and take pride and ownership of
multiple projects simultaneously. We are looking for someone with a team player mentality to help
develop and advance tourism in Pacific County, working as part of a great team, while expanding their
own career.
What you’ll do:

The Project Coordinator’s main responsibility is focused on large scale, multi-agency, and multi-
dimensional tourism-related projects on behalf of LBPVB, spanning all Pacific County. As the key contact,

the Project Coordinator will develop and manage all aspects of each project and act as the internal
liaison to all staff and the Executive Director for each project, as well as the external liaison to our
partners, community, partner agencies, board members, committees, and sector support network.
Special projects managed by the Project Coordinator include but are not limited to The Partner and
Membership program, Event and Festival Management project, and other tourism development
projects.

trends, openings, closings, and other tourism and community related developments
• Critical Thinker: Thinks outside the box to help us grow and re-invent our brand, strategy, goals,
opportunities, and successes
• Own It: Takes ownership and pride in work, representing the Peninsula and Pacific County
lifestyle, the LBPVB brand and our community in a positive way
• Team Captain: Works collaboratively in a team environment and ensures projects are executed
per expectations, deadlines are met, and results are produced
Basic Qualifications:
• Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent work demonstrating independent project
management and proven results
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with personalities of different beliefs and backgrounds
• Highly organized and able to manage several projects simultaneously
• Valid Washington State driver’s license with no major accidents in last 10 years

Location:
• The LBPVB office is in Seaview, WA, but a hybrid work model of combined remote and office
work may be considered by LBPVB for the right candidate
• Candidates currently residing within Pacific County are strongly encouraged to apply
Physical requirements:
• Extended periods of sitting at a desk in an office environment
• Must be able to walk extensively to visit clients, attend fairs and events with or without
reasonable accommodation
• Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license and no major accidents in the last ten years
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle typical office equipment
• Able to maintain mental focus and work at a computer screen for extended hours
Compensation:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Executive Director.
• Starting compensation rate is $19.50 per hour, depending on experience
• Use of existing company vehicle for business purposes and client visits
• Stipend for Health Insurance, Vision and Dental insurance offered
• Generous paid time off, holiday and sick time policy
• Annual raise and bonus eligibility
