From family fun to the delightfully strange, the Long Beach Peninsula and Pacific County has a summer event for anyone! Here are a few event highlights to help you plan, but no matter when you arrive, you’re sure to find a hub of activity somewhere. May – Sept Saturday Market Port of Ilwaco

Shop, dine, and experience all the fun and festivities of the Saturday Market at the Port of Ilwaco.  Stroll along the waterfront and meander through art galleries, the book store, and visit with local artisans while enjoying the stunning beauty of the LBP. 10-4:00

May 24-27 World’s Longest Garage Sale (Peninsula Wide)

Start the summer with an epic treasure hunt during the World’s Longest Garage Sale. Garage sales are put on by individuals throughout the Long Beach Peninsula.

Weekends/May 27-Sep. 2 SummerFest  (Long Beach)

Enjoy free family-friendly activities every weekend in Long Beach. From face painting and chalk art to live music and street entertainment. Summer is always festive on the beach!

June 8 Beach to Chowder 5k/10k Run (Long Beach)

Come run in the 42nd running of Beach to Chowder 5k/10k. Run along the beauty of the Pacific Ocean and enjoy some tasty chowder at the end. This is a chip time event.

June 8th-Aug 24 Waikiki Beach Concert Series

Every Saturday from June through August the Waikiki Beach Concert Series at Cape Disappointment State Park features performances from renowned musicians, Situated in an outdoor amphitheater, the scenery is spectacular. Enjoy an hour and half of fantastic family friendly music from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

June 14th – Sept 27th Columbia Pacific Farmers Market (Long Beach)

Every Friday all Summer long you can treat yourself to the freshest fruit and produce in the Pacific Northwest: berries, organic veggies, apples, honey, and all kinds of wonderful freshly made, grown, or raised products.

June 15-16 Northwest Garlic Festival (Ocean Park)

It’s chic to reek! This foodie festival celebrates garlic dishes of almost any type (even ice cream) as well as decor made from garlic. This festival is in its 37th year, making it a local tradition in Ocean Park. Celebrate 10-5pm on Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday.

4th of July Celebrations (County Wide)

Fireworks at the port, picnics, parades, and art! We know how to celebrate the 4th in Pacific County, and we hope you will join us. While the fourth is certainly a festive time on the beach, please respect the beach and clean up after yourselves.

July 13 Music in the Gardens Tour (LBP)

Celebrate the 13th annual Music in the Gardens Tour. Enjoy a lovely summer’s day touring the beautiful coastal gardens of the Long Beach Peninsula.

July 23-27 Sandsations (Long Beach)

This event features sand sculpting competitions for all skill levels, lessons from the pros, and demonstrations. Pull a team together and enjoy impressive sand sculptures created by talented artists.

July 27-28 Woodfest (Tokeland)

See woodcarvers, wood crafters, and other artists at work during this family-friendly event that features music and food vendors. A variety of wood artists, from whittlers to chainsaw artists, participate in this annual event.

July 27-28 Long Beach Rodeo (Long Beach)

Now 73 years old, the Long Beach Rodeo is a Peninsula classic loved by coastal cowboys. Enjoy the usual rodeo fare like saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling, as well as team, calf and breakaway roping.

Aug. 2-3 Jake the Alligator Man’s Birthday (Long Beach)

Celebrate Jake the Alligator Man’s annual 76th Birthday with a burlesque bachelor party, the bride of Jake competition, car show and live music. Back for its 12th year, this event takes place throughout downtown Long Beach with outdoor daytime events at Veterans Field and evening activities at the ELKS Lodge.

Aug. 2-4 Willapa Harbor Festival (Raymond)

Bands, parades, vendors, a flea market, homebrew contest, kids entertainment, and more make the Willapa Harbor Festival a Raymond tradition. Celebrate life on the Willapa during the first weekend in August.

Aug. 17 Jazz & Oysters (Long Beach)

Jazz and great food make this a must-attend event. Listen to great music, enjoy delicious Willapa Bay oysters, sausages, and other food stands, beverages and more. Retired and current military members get free entrance.

Aug. 19-25 Washington State International Kite Festival (Long Beach)

The preeminent Peninsula event. Seven days of kite-flying fun. Competitions, kite-making, demonstrations and special guest flyers from around the country and world. Catch indoor kiting events Wednesday-Friday. The Bolstad Beach Approach is lined with food and clothing vendors and the beach is packed with kite flyers. The eye candy gets better every year!

Aug. 21-24 Pacific County Fair (Menlo)

Truly an old-fashioned experience, the Pacific County Fair enters its 122nd year in 2018. From livestock exhibits and canning competitions to art contests and carnival rides, the county fair is full of classic fun.

Sept. 6 Slow Drag at the Port of Ilwaco

The most fun you can have on four wheels! This coasting competition is something you have to see to understand. Bring your chair and watch classic cars, rat rods, unique vehicles, and themed cars coast their way to the finish line. Free to watch!

Sept. 7-8 Rod Run to the End of the World (Ocean Park)

From Model Ts to muscle cars, the Rod Run to the End of the World features acres of automobiles and plenty of chrome eye-candy.  Enjoy food, craft vendors, and a swap meet.

Sept. 13-14 Peninsula R&B Festival

A culmination of regional, local, and national blues acts, food vendors, beer and wine, and good times for everybody with Willapa Bay as the backdrop!
